Photographic International and Regional Awards for Fontaine Photography

April, 2006  -  Yankee Photographic Society , Greater Lynn International Salon and New England Camera Club Council (NECCC) yield important honors for Michelle Fontaine's photographic submissions.

Yankee Photographic Society is a group of New England photo professionals and enthusiasts who meet twice a year for photographic exchange of ideas, workshops and competition. Attendees come from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York.

Over 300 photographers attended the Danvers, MA event on April 1, 2006. Top score is 15 points with a panel of three judges contributing their expertise. Fontaine's Dam Reflection  took Honorable Mention in the digital competition and her City Architecture took Honorable Mention in the print competition. Her Wet Boardwalk also scored highly with 13 out of 15 points.

During the Yankee Photographic Seminar, the accepted slides from the Greater Lynn International Color Slide Exhibition are shown as the much anticipated closing performance of the day. The Greater Lynn International Salon, in its 30th year, receives entries from 40-50 different countries, and 45 different states. Slides are judged over a two day period by a panel of three judges who view approximately 3000-3500 slides. The highest scoring slides are then put into a showcase style presentation choreographed to music and shown at the Yankee Photographic Society event. Fontaine had two submissions accepted into the Greater Lynn program, and shown at the Yankee event.  Those honors were for Mirror Lake and Dam Reflection.

The NECCC is a non-profit camera club council with 80 member camera clubs in New England NECCC sponsors one of the largest photography conferences in the U.S. each July. Wet Boardwalk recently received a 27 out of 30 points during their Spring competition.
